&&

.SHORT TERM... /Issued 1223 PM CDT Tue Sep 30 2025/ /Through Wednesday Night/

Quiet but warm conditions will persist across the region as the deck of high level clouds clear from west to east through the afternoon. Today`s highs will range from the mid-upper 80s to lower 90s. A surface high pressure will remain in our vicinity through tomorrow keeping the winds light and variable with mostly sunny skies. Otherwise, tonight`s lows will stay in the low to mid 60s with temperatures tomorrow running 2-3 degrees warmer than today`s.

.LONG TERM... /Issued 1223 PM CDT Tue Sep 30 2025/ /Thursday through Early Next Week/

Not a lot of changes in the extended forecast as we continue in this period of quiet weather the rest of the week. A mid-upper level ridge will take control of the pattern keeping us fairly stable with mostly clear skies and no rain in the forecast. Temperatures will rise to the upper 80s to lower 90s Thursday and Friday, which is 5 to 10 degrees above normal for the first week of October. Unfortunately, we won`t get a break from these warm temperatures as highs stay in the upper 80s to lower 90s this weekend through early next week. An upper level trough is expected to eject from western U.S this weekend but most of the guidance keeps it moving into central U.S with little to no influence over our area.

Looking into early next week, we could see a few showers move into some of our eastern/southern counties as low-level moisture returns. Additionally, an upper level trough is forecast to develop near the northern part of the Gulf (near LA/MS) which could provide a steady fetch of moisture to push inland and into the region.
