- Southwest Kansas will be dry for the remainder of September, and at least through October 3rd.

- Afternoons will feature pleasantly warm temperatures, a few degrees above normal, mainly in the lower 80s. No cold fronts or unseasonably hot temperatures are expected.

An upper level ridge will build above the area over the next several days bringing dry conditions to western Kansas. Skies will be mostly clear with high level cloudiness increasing this weekend. Winds will generally be from a southerly direction through Friday night before a weak cold front moves through the area Saturday morning shifting winds briefly to the north. Southerly winds then return by Saturday night and continue through the remainder of the period. Highs will generally be in the upper 70s to low 80s with lows in the 50s to around 60 degrees.

Excellent flying weather will continue through this TAF period, with VFR/SKC and light winds. After 15z Fri, south winds will increase modestly at all airports, gusting 22-25 kts.
