- Cooler conditions tonight, followed by near normal temperatures through
  Saturday.
- No rain is in the forecast through mid-next week along with a
  gradual warming trend across the region.

/Through Thursday Night/
After this morning`s rain and storms, conditions will continue to
improve across our region. A few lingering showers and isolated
storms may persist across the far southern counties this
afternoon, but most of the activity will shift east and south of
our area. The strong/severe threat will also decrease across our
region. Given the persistent cloud coverage, this afternoon`s
highs will stay in the upper 70s to mid 80s. Breezy north-
northwest winds will continue this afternoon before they become
light this evening. The cold front is expected to progress
east/southeast towards Southeast TX and the MS Valley tonight into
tomorrow morning as a surface high settles across portions of the
southern Plains. Plenty of sunshine and nice weather is expected
tomorrow with highs in the 80s and northerly winds.

/Friday through Mid Next Week/
We`ll wrap up the week with another pleasant and seasonal day
with highs in the 80s. The surface high pressure will remain in
place over the region through the weekend and early next week. A
gradual warming trend will also begin this weekend as winds
return to the east/southeast on Saturday and continue through at
least next Wednesday. Mid/upper level ridging will also keep our
area precipitation free with highs bouncing back to the mid to
upper 80s and perhaps some low 90s by next Wednesday.
Unfortunately, extended guidance is keeping us above average for
temperatures through next week with no sign of another decent
cold front approaching our region.

Tranquil VFR conditions will prevail at all TAF sites tonight
through Thursday, as a cool, stable ridge of surface high pressure
builds southward across Texas. A scattered to occasionally broken
VFR layer of stratocumulus cloudiness will persist across North
Texas thorugh around 06z tonight, before dissipating. Additional
scattered VFR cumulus clouds may redevelop Thursday afternoon due
to surface heating beneath an amplified upper level trough
rotating through the Southern Plains. A northwesterly surface
wind flow will persist at all TAF sites tonight and Thursday, at
speeds averaging 8 to 12 knots.
