20 degrees above normal) will be in place through most of this
coming week.

A tight pressure gradient between a surface low to the west and the
departed high pressure to the east will continue the southerly flow
into the forecast area today. Winds will be strongest over central
South Dakota, where sustained winds of 15 to 20 miles per hour and
gusts of 25 to 35 miles per hour will take hold. Winds are expected
to increase further by Tuesday afternoon, with broader coverage of
30 to 35 mile per hour gusts expected. Both the NBM as well as Hi-
