The combination of abundant moisture, a series of mid-level
disturbances and daytime heating will support low to moderate daily
shower and thunderstorms through the period. The best rain chances
look to be on Thursday as moisture pools (PWATs 2"+) along and ahead
of next cold front. There is some uncertainty if the frontal
boundary will push through Deep South Texas Thursday or stall over
or north of the region. Any showers or thunderstorms that develop
have the potential to produce locally heavy rain that could lead to
nuisance flooding, especially on roadways and low lying areas.
Hot and humid conditions will continue through midweek with near to
slightly above normal temperatures. The Heat Risk will be Moderate
(level 2 out of 4) to Major (level 3 out of 4) Monday through
Wednesday. Heat indices between 105 to 110 degrees will be likely
Tuesday and Wednesday with some locations reaching near 112. Heat
Advisories may be needed Tuesday and Wednesday. The combination
increasing cloud cover, rain chances and the potential arrival of a
cold front may lead to slightly below normal temperatures by late
week. The Heat Risk will drop to Minor (level 1 out of 4) Friday
through Monday.

Light southeast winds prevail across Deep South Texas early this
evening. Mainly VFR conditions will continue for the next 24
hours. However, brief MVFR or IFR conditions will be possible in
and around any convection that develops on Monday. Light winds
overnight are expected to increase mid to late Monday morning with
some gusts around 20 knots in the afternoon.

showers and thunderstorms through late week and into the weekend.
