.DISCUSSION... Issued at 1230 AM CDT Mon Sep 8 2025
With the recent cold front currently stalled over the southern half of South Texas, drier air will slowly creep into South Texas. Current water vapor satellite imagery shows a drier airmass over the Hill Country slowing inching its way into the region. One more wet day is expected tomorrow with medium (50-70%) chances for rain across the southern half of South Texas from Webb through Duval, Jim Wells to Nueces and north along the Coastal Bend where the front is currently stalled. Across the northern half where direr air will filter into we`ll see low (15-30%) chances for rain. A mid to upper level high pressure will develop Tuesday and build into the Upper Mid-West late this workweek into next weekend. Our next chance for rain will be late this workweek into next weekend as a weak mid level disturbance rides the eastern periphery of the ridge and moves into South Texas. With the ridge building into the region and drier air moving into South Texas this week, seasonal temperatures are expected Monday into next weekend.

.AVIATION... (12Z TAFS) Issued at 606 AM CDT Mon Sep 8 2025
Surface observations across Texas show the most of the low CIGs across the northern Brush Country starting to thin out as drier air funnels into the region (SKC conditions in the Victoria Crossroads as fog breaks up with wind increasing in those areas). Showers and storms are primarily over the western Gulf waters struggling to make it too far inland (battling drier air). For this reason, PROB30 groups were selected for KALI/KCRP/KLRD through this afternoon, with clearing skies tonight. Mostly VFR conditions for this TAF cycle and down to MVFR in a stray showers/storm.

.MARINE... Issued at 1230 AM CDT Mon Sep 8 2025
A fresh breeze (BF 5) Monday will weaken to gentle to moderate (BF 3- 4) levels Tuesday and persist through the end of the week. Elevated rain chances Monday and Tuesday will decrease Wednesday before increasing back to medium levels Thursday and Friday across the Gulf waters.
