Dry and warm weather will persist across the area again today, as an upper level ridge over the Rockies continues to expand eastward into West Central Texas. Expect mostly sunny skies and temperatures similar to yesterday, with highs ranging from the upper 80s and lower 90s south, to the mid and upper 90s elsewhere. Skies will be mostly clear tonight, with lows in the 60s.

.LONG TERM... (Thursday night through next Wednesday) Issued at 101 PM CDT Wed Sep 10 2025

Upper level ridging across Texas will result in above normal temperatures along with generally dry conditions through early next week. Highs will generally be in the 90s, with overnight lows mainly in the 60s. No rain is forecast through the next 7 days.

MVFR stratus indicated Thursday morning along I-10 corridor near KSOA and KJCT in the short term models. Will bring in a tempo MVFR ceiling at KSOA, where stratus has been persistent the last two days, and a scattered layer at KJCT.
