.DISCUSSION... Issued at 137 AM EDT Wed Sep 10 2025

Cool air over the area will continue to modify today with highs reaching near 80 degrees this afternoon. The airmass over the region will continue to modify with high temperatures warming above normal Friday into the low to mid 80s. The lower layers will remain quite dry and should inhibit rain from reaching the ground as the precipitation falls into very dry layers below the cloud base. Therefore, have limited rain chances Saturday to a slight chance.

After Saturday, temperatures will continue to warm. Very warm temperatures should persist through at least Tuesday. Given the exceptionally dry conditions, drought feedback is likely, causing large diurnal swings with lows mostly in the 50s and highs in the 80s. For this reason, have raised highs a little above the model blend.

.AVIATION /12Z TAFS THROUGH 12Z THURSDAY/... Issued at 612 AM EDT Wed Sep 10 2025

Plenty of dry air at the low levels, underneath high clouds, continues to keep the area in VFR. A weak gradient keeps winds light and with high pressure leaking eastward through the day, trajectories will slowly be veering from southerly to northerly by 00z this evening, but will use VRB in a single group to denote this given light winds all day.
