.SYNOPSIS... Warming trend continues early this week, with periods of breezy north to east winds into Tuesday. Chances for unsettled and cooler weather return late this week and into the weekend.

.KEY MESSAGES...

* TODAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY:

- Dry conditions and seasonal temperatures prevail through mid- week. High temperatures will trend warmer through early this week, with Valley high temperatures in the 80s today and Tuesday.

- Periods of breezy north to east winds are expected through Tuesday, mainly during the morning and early afternoon hours. Breeziest areas will be through the northern and central Sacramento Valley along and west of I-5, as well as through gaps/canyons over the western slopes of the Sierra.

- Temperatures begin to trend cooler on Wednesday, with locally breezy onshore winds starting in the afternoon/evening.

* THURSDAY-SUNDAY

- Clusters and ensembles depict an upper low approaching the region late next week which may bring chances for light precipitation and cooler temperatures, however forecast confidence is still low.

- Precipitation impacts look to be minimal, with best chances over the northern Sacramento Valley, foothills, and mountains. NBM is currently advertising a 40-70% chance of precipitation amounts 0.25" or more over the foothills and mountains.

- Non-zero chances for light, high elevation mountain snow, though little if any impacts are expected and confidence is low.

- Temperatures will trend cooler late week into next weekend, with Valley high temperatures in the 70s. Periods of breezy onshore winds are anticipated as well.

.AVIATION... VFR conditions next 24 hours. Breezy northerly to easterly winds across the northern Sac Valley and mountains. Elsewhere, surface winds generally remain at or below 12 kts.
