.SHORT TERM... (Tonight through Tuesday night) Issued at 1202 PM CDT Sun Sep 28 2025
Upper level ridging and plenty of dry air aloft will keep the area dry through the middle of the week while a weak surface pressure gradient on the outskirts of tropical depression nine will maintain light northerly winds. There will be little day to day variation in afternoon highs which will reach the upper 80s to around 90 although dewpoints climbing into the low to mid 60s will result in slightly warmer overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s.

.LONG TERM... (Wednesday through next Saturday) Issued at 1202 PM CDT Sun Sep 28 2025
Mid level moisture begins to stream back into the region Thursday as an upper level low develops across the northern gulf possibly inducing a surface low. There`s a fair degree of difference with the evolution of this upper low, but regardless, it is likely to provide the next appreciable, albeit low, precipitation chances across the region. The increased cloud cover and precipitation will aid in holding afternoon highs in the mid 80s Friday through next weekend.
